back from Oz and it’s time to regroup
So It has been forever since I’ve posted anything. I have been home for 3 months and I’ve spent it excited, disappointed, and depressed in bed… But things seem to be looking up. (I was depressed and disappointed about 2 jobs having fallen through, one with stratford and one with a very artistic company called the jumblies)
But now things are almost going to get too busy, I’ve rejoined derby, and got hired for part time work at Metro (a grocery store). I also have been randomly hired on short notice by opera Hamilton and at the start of april I’ll be doing the training for the film union in toronto. this is all fantastic.
I even think I’ll have a summer gig if my grant application is approved for july and august. and that means not touring except for the one week spent lazily sitting on the beach at Sandbanks when not frantically fixing up last minute costume problems. Although this is sorta sad because it means I can’t go to rollercon :(…
things are really picking up (or course after the always tough february) and I have a second grant that I’m waiting to hear about that might mean a paid ticket and room and board to Sydney, Australia. Yes back to the vast down under for a month… if that doesn’t get nixed on the grant application panel.
I am crossing my fingers after such a grim 3 months of nothing to do, and no money in my pocket.
